With the 'VC Fonds', IBB Ventures invests venture capital in growth companies in Berlin's various technology sectors and the creative industry, thereby strengthening their equity basis. The funds are primarily provided in order to finance the development and launch of innovative, scalable products or services in order to achieve quick company growth.

Companies that fulfil the following investment criteria:
The company should be owned primarily by shareholders who are actively involved, it should have its place of business in Berlin and fulfil the EU's criteria for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and it must be a corporation.

'VC Fonds' participation is generally contingent upon other partners, such as venture capital companies, industrial companies or business angels, participating in the company to at least the same degree as the 'VC Fonds'.
Projects funded under this support programme can make a direct or indirect positive contribution to the following Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):
IBB generally excludes certain controversial business practices from funding or conducts case-by-case assessments within controversial business sectors.
