The IBB's bodies

The bodies of Investitionsbank Berlin (IBB) are the Board of Management and the Administrative Board pursuant to Article II, section 10 (1) and (2) of the Law Establishing Investitionsbank Berlin as an Incorporated Institution under Public Law (Investitionsbank Law– IBBG). The duties and powers of the Board of Management and Administrative Board are laid down in the IBBG and in the Ordinance on the Memorandum and Articles of Association of IBB.

Board of Management

The Board of Management manages Investitionsbank's business in its own responsibility and subject to law, the memorandum and articles of association, the guidelines adopted by the Administrative Board, as well as the business rules applicable to the Management Board. The Board of Management represents Investitionsbank in and out of court. The Administrative Board decides upon the appointment, chairperson, removal from office and the terms of employment of the members of the Board of Management.

Administrative Board

The Administrative Board lays down the guidelines and principles, issues the required business rules, advises and supervises the Board of Management in the management of Investitionsbank Berlin. Pursuant to Article II, section 12 (1) to (7) of the Investitionsbank Law, the Administrative Board consists of six members appointed by the Berlin Senator and three members appointed by IBB's personnel representation committee.
